Rosemary is a graduate Urban Planner passionate about delivering ambitious and equitable social outcomes through the planning system. Rosemary has extensive experience in the community sector, during which she developed excellent interpersonal and communicative skills. Throughout her academic career, Rosemary cultivated strong research skills and a sophisticated understanding of planning theory. Together, this skill set enables her to bring a thoughtful and collaborative approach to planning practice.

Upon completing her Master of Urban Planning, Rosemary worked as a Policy Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. In this role Rosemary conducted extensive analysis into Melbourne’s current and future land supply and translated these findings into a planning policy proposal that would serve to guide Melbourne’s future housing growth. This project required both a high-level understanding of the patterns and drivers of urban growth, as well as a fine grain understanding of state and local planning mechanisms.

Rosemary also has over five years of experience in local government for public libraries. Through this work, Rosemary has developed skills in building effective and collaborative relationships across a range of stakeholders and strong communicative skills to work alongside people from diverse backgrounds. Rosemary’s experience in libraries demonstrates her strong customer service ethic and ability to work closely with the community—skills that are highly valuable as a planning professional.
